This is a very sturdy shovel, that only weighs 1 kg. The heavy-duty ring on the scabbard allows it to fit behind or on the side of the saddle, in a saddle bag, or on top of a pack load.
I have tried the foldable camp shovels, but I found they don't last. This shovel you will have for a long time.
