Blue Creek Trail Axe

A great trail axe for the price. Straight grain American Hickory handle (considered the best wood for an axe). 1055 Carbon drop forged steel blade (quality steel that holds an edge but can still be hand sharpened with a file). A very sturdy axe with a great head design. Overall length 23″.

NOTE: if you are comparing axes with fiberglass or metal handles you will not have the same feel as wood. Wood is warm and friendly to the touch and a wood handle absorbs shock the best.
